Summer League Rules
U10 Boys Summer Rules
- Games will be 2 x 16 minutes stop time halves using modified FIBA rules
- Penalty is at 10 teams fouls each half – exception in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half where teams will shoot penalty on 10 team fouls OR after 2nd team foul committed in this time period(NBA rule) This is done to prevent a team not in the penalty in the last 2 minutes from committing multiple fouls over and over. This way we can avoid wasting time and unnecessary unsporting fouls.
- Teams have 1 time in the 1st half / 2 time outs in the 2nd half
- 1st Half – Fall Back / 2nd Half – Teams can press if score is under 20
- There is NO EQUAL PLAYING TIME rules in the summer, nor is there a minimum amount necessary to start games
- 3pt line will be in effect
- In 2nd Half, clock runs if score is over 30 pts
- 27.5 or Size 5 ball will be used
